So I really like cooking, but I don’t like making the same things over and over and I hate that every recipe seems to have a million ingredients which I don’t have and don’t have the money to buy for a one time use. Who uses celery seed anyway? But I do like trying new food. I’ve gotten sick of the same BBQ chicken pizza and enchiladas that I’ve been making the last year and a half. Ok I’ve been cooking longer than that, but in college when I was single it was more like, see what I have in the cupboard and throw it all together to make something edible. Now that I’m married and have someone to cook for, I want to impress him with my awesome homemaking skills.
If you have a data phone, a great app is the All Recipes app (I have an android phone). It let’s you pick what type of meal you’re looking for (dinner, appetizer, salad), the main ingredient (chicken, cheese, ham), and how long you have to prepare it (under 20 minutes, slow cooker, etc.). Then you search and it brings up tons of recipes which are rated and have reviews. I’ve found some great recipes! You can even save the recipes as favorites and go back to them later. We have loved it!
