Oh genetics, when it comes to weight gain, you are not my friend. With my family history, I knew that it wasn’t going to be easy to lose all the weight I gained from being pregnant. My body stopped losing weight on its own when I had 20 pounds to go. Bummer. Well, I knew I had to be dedicated to a good workout and eat a better diet. Good bye Kongs at Maceys!
My sister-in-law started doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and she really liked it. I was a little skeptical because workout DVDs don’t really seem to work for me. I’d rather be working out outside, but that has been harder with a baby. So I thought I would give it a shot.
Now I consider myself pretty athletic. I played a lot of sports in high school. And this DVD has been kicking my bum these last few days! I’ve actually been doing the 30 Day Shred for about 5 weeks now and the first level was rough, but didn’t really cause a good sweat. I just started level 2 (of 3 levels) and I’ve definitely been feeling it! Sweating a ton and feeling sore the next day. All good signs for me that I’m really making a difference.
With the 30 Day Shred and not eating sweets on weekdays I’ve been losing more of the baby weight! Only 12 pounds to go! I found it for only $7 on Amazon. Totally worth it! Especially because I’ll be heading here in 3 weeks…
