What better way to show someone you love them then by plastering their door with hearts telling them? “Heart Attacking” has been an activity I’ve done for years and is the more pleasant form of toilet papering. There are a lot of different ways to heart attack – tape hearts to their front door or in their bedroom, put hearts on plastic spoons and put them in their lawn, put hearts, confetti, and oreos on their car, decorate their locker, etc. The options are unlimited and it’s so fun to do as well as be the recipient!
So yesterday was my husband’s first day back to BYU after taking the summer off to work full time. He’s such a hard worker, working and going to school to provide for his family. And allowing me to be a stay at home mom even if it’s not financially smart. I wanted to let him know how much I appreciate him. So I heart attacked our bedroom wall so he could see it when he got home. I made it a school themed heart attack.
The piece of bread says “Thanks for being our bread winner” and the bacon strip says “And for bringing home the bacon.” I cut and wrote while I sat next to our 6 month old (I can’t believe she’s 6 months now!) and told her what we were doing. She thought it was a good idea too. 🙂
This is a great activity to get the whole family involved! It’s easy to find people to heart attack! A member of the family, a neighbor, an elderly person, a teacher, a friend, a birthday girl/boy, etc. It’s easy and fun for everyone! Especially since you need to be a little sneaky to do it. 🙂
