A couple of new families moved into our apartment stairwell within the last few weeks. Before these families moved in, we didn’t really know the people who lived in those apartments. In fact I think out of the 12 apartments in our stairwell, we only actually knew 4 of the families that lived there…pretty bad. So we decided that we should get to know our neighbors better.
So for family home evening, I whipped up some zucchini bread – we have zucchini coming out of our ears from our garden, but we love it! – and we took some to our new neighbors. I think you should know who your neighbors are and it definitely makes for a more friendly and safer environment.
So this week’s family activity, go meet our neighbors! You can make them a plate of goodies – something as easy as a box of brownies, any type of bread or muffins, or even a cake! It’s definitely up to you! And if you already know your neighbors, why not make them something anyway? Who doesn’t love a plate of goodies? I know I would love it!
And if you’re interested in a great zucchini bread recipe, I’ll be posting it on my blog this Friday.
