It’s that time of year! The chill is coming in and the leaves are changing color. A few days during the week I take a walk with my daughter to our garden at our church building and already the leaves are changing on the trees I walk by. And when they’re changing down here, they’re definitely changing in the mountains! They’re always so beautiful!
This family activity can be done in many different states, but not so much California. Our trees didn’t really change color, they stayed green and just died…but you get warm weather all year, so no complaints! In other states like Utah and the east coast, the fall season exists! And it’s gorgeous!
If you live in a mountainous region there are most likely scenic drives in the canyons where you can look at all the trees. In Utah county there’s the Alpine Loop which starts in Provo and American Fork Canyons. That’s the one we have done the last 2 years and we love it! I’m excited to go again!
So pack up your kids and go for a drive! Or get a babysitter and make it a date for you and your spouse. But hurry because the fall foliage window is a short one! There’s only about 2 maybe 3 good weeks. Usually the last 2 weeks of September and 1st week of October.
