I know Pumpkin Shakes doesn’t really go with my goal to eat healthier, but who can resist a pumpkin shake in the Fall? Not me!
This is what my husband and I did for our date last Friday night. We decided that we needed to be better about going on dates on Fridays. We’ve fallen into the slump of a movie on instant Netflix and popcorn every Friday. It’s a great date for some Fridays, but not every Friday.
My husband says he isn’t creative and has a hard time thinking of dates which is why I was surprised when he texted me Friday afternoon and asked if I wanted to go get a pumpkin shake for our date…um, yes! So after dinner, we bundled up, including our 8 month old, and headed to a local Pie Shake Shop and got a Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake Shake. Sound like heaven? Well it was!
And if you don’t like pumpkin shakes, there are lots of others to choose from. And you don’t have to get a pie shake, you can get ice cream, cake, smoothies, pie, crepes, even a frosty from Wendy’s or a sundae from McDonald’s. The important thing is to go out together. If you’re like us and just have a baby, it’s easier just to take her along. But if you have more than one kid, it might be a good idea to get a sitter so you and your hubby can have some alone time. It’s definitely needed in keeping a marriage strong.
So if you’re looking for a simple date idea, go get dessert! I suggest Pumpkin Pie Shakes. 🙂
