Happy 2012! Sorry I’ve been a little absent these last few weeks. We spent a lot of time with family for the holidays which I hope you did too! So hopefully you didn’t miss me much anyway. 😉
We had a great Christmas and New Year’s with both sides of the family and the Bammer got to visit with her two favorite and only cousins. It’s fun to have her around other kids. She’s a social baby! It was great having some vacation time, but also great to be back home to our routine and schedule. Alan also started back to school today to do his last semester at BYU! So that’s always exciting. I think this is going to be a great year! Here are some reasons why:
1. Alan will graduate with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business in April.
2. The last few weeks have been warm and feel like spring which always makes me happy. So I’m hoping for a shorter winter this year.
3. I have some great blogging ideas that I’m really excited to share with you!
4. I have more energy and feeling great because….
5. WE’RE HAVING ANOTHER BABY!
Yup! Baby number 2 is on it’s way! That’s another reason why blogging has been harder these last few weeks because I have been feeling sick and very low on energy. Most my energy was spent taking care of my daughter and doing some chores around the house. Surprisingly this pregnancy I was only sick until week 11 rather than week 14 like I was with the Bammer. That made me a little nervous with my history of a miscarriage, but we heard the heartbeat last week and am due July 5th! So we’re really looking forward to this summer!
And that’s why I needed to wean my daughter from nursing at 9 months. I asked the doctor about trying to nurse and be pregnant and although some women can do it, it’s physically draining on your body. And I could definitely feel exhaustion from my body trying to do so much. But the weaning process went well and my daughter is doing great!
So how far apart will my two oldest children be you might ask? Just over 16 months. I know some of you might think we’re crazy, but we couldn’t be more excited! We like that our children will be close in age and we’re hoping to have a lot of children, so why wait?
I’ll definitely keep you updated on the pregnancy as we go, but I’m still going to write about crafts, the Bammer, our family, recipes, things I learn, etc. just as I have been. So keep stopping by!
I hope you all are looking forward to a great 2012 as well!
