When I was in college, my friends and I played pictionary, but the twist is that we had to draw it in pudding! So we put on some grubby clothes and headed outside. We bought 2 cans of pre-made pudding and dumped some of it onto cookie sheets. We pulled a word out of the bowl and began drawing with our fingers right into the pudding. Needless to say, it ended up in a pudding fight – hence the grubby clothes.
With a 10 month old, texture and discovery is super important! So I decided to let her play in a little pudding too. Well it was actually yogurt. I was feeding her some for lunch and she was done eating, so I put some on her high chair tray and let her play. She loved it! She would rub her hands in it, hit it, and even put some in her mouth occasionally.
Here are some soft squishy things your kid can play in:
– spaghetti sauce
– peanut butter
– baby food
– mashed potatoes (which we have learned our daughter hates!)
– whipped cream
Really anything squishy will work. Of course watch for food allergies and expect a mess! But it’s worth it right? I mean who doesn’t love a giggly, happy baby, and pictures like these?
