So I went to my 20 week ultrasound this morning and found out that we’re having another girl! So two girls for us! I can’t tell you how shocked I was because I was so convinced it was a boy. My pregnancy was the exact opposite of my last one – from how long I was sick, to my cravings, to what food sounded good at all, and my motherly intuition. We even had a boy named picked out and everything! But for a girl? I have no idea! The nice thing is that we already have everything we need for a girl – clothes, toys, room decor, even our burp cloths are girly. So that will be nice and they’re so close in age that they’ll be able to share a room and hopefully be the best of friends! I think we’ll have it be so they’re only a year apart in school since this second baby is going to be born in the summer.
I’m one of those people who likes to know things earlier so it’s bugging me that I don’t have a name picked out yet, but I’m going to start looking into that! Don’t you worry!
So that’s our exciting news for the day! I also wanted to share with you my awesome birthday weekend! Thursday was my 25th birthday! 25 sounds good to me. I’m well into my twenties so I don’t feel super young. 25 is a solid number.
So Thursday to celebrate we went to a crepe place for dinner and got delicious nutella crepes for dessert. If you ever go to Paris, you must buy a nutella crepe from a street vendor. They are amazing! And this was pretty close. Friday my sister-in-law babysat the Bammer for us while we went and saw The Vow. It’s a good one! I just love movies like that where the couple is so cute and in love because that’s how Alan and I feel about ourselves. And maybe it woudn’t seem like it to others, but that’s how we feel. 😉 But I highly recommend it! Even Alan liked it, but he does like some chick flicks so this got added to his list. The only bad things were some swearing and they did show Channing Tatum’s bum…but other than that it was great!
Then Sunday night we headed to my parents house for a delicious dinner and my in-laws came over for presents and dessert. It was a great weekend and I had tons of fun celebrating it with family! And thanks to everyone for all the facebook birthday wishes!
