I love holiday outfits for kids! Which makes it especially fun having a little girl because there are so many cute dresses and skirts to make! I made a skirt and put together an outfit for the Bammer and can’t wait for the 4th of July so she can wear it.
Here was my inspiration:
I saw this on pinterest which came from The Pink Peonies and thought it would be such a cute patriotic outfit!
And then I was at Old Navy the other day and found a navy blue and white stars shirt for toddlers that I couldn’t pass up! It helped that it was on sale for only $4. I later headed to Walmart and found some red and white striped fabric that would be perfect for a little skirt and I finally got around to making it this week and here’s the final result.
Doesn’t she look so cute and so patriotic?! If I do say so myself… 😉
So I’ve been a little obsessed with little girl clothes lately. I have all these ideas of dress and skirt designs that have been floating around in my head. So I bought a sketch book and have started to begin sketching out my ideas. I’m hoping to start making things to put in an etsy shop. But that’s definitely still a work in progress. And since I’m still an amateur when it comes to sewing (I’m learning as I go!), things don’t always turn out exactly how I envision. So I’m going to make a few small changes to this skirt and try again and hopefully have it start my etsy shop. I’ll let you know when it’s done and what my shop will be called and all that fun stuff once it’s finalized.
Anyway…this was a fun project and I was really excited to show it off!
And P.S. I’m also pinning this into 2 competitions going on which you should check out and join!
