At church on Sunday we had a lesson about being more kind. We were to write down each person in our immediate family, think about what they’re struggling with, and how we can show kindness to them. So I wrote down Alan, Bammer, and Lowie.
I decided that I wanted to show Alan how much I love him with little notes like I used to when we were first married. He also has been suggesting the last few weeks that I make a pumpkin pie. So I did! Yesterday I made him a pumpkin pie with these cute little notes you can find on the Dating Divas website. I taped the notes to the door and left the pie on the doorstep so he could find it when he came home from work. He loved it! And was kind enough to share with me. 🙂
I’m also going to be kinder to Bammer by just being more patient with her. For times like these.
This is her new thing, throw things from the pantry all over the floor and then try to clean it up with the broom. So I’m thinking more about her learning to clean rather than how much food we just wasted.
And I’m going to be kinder to Lowie by just spending more one on one time with her. It’s hard to get attention when you’re so good and have a very active older sister.
We’ve also been having fun in the snow. Luckily it’s warming up a bit and melting the loads we got!
And a quick funny story. So I hard boiled some eggs for lunch today and set them in a bowl to cool down. I went into our room to change Lowie and came out to find Bammer eating one of the eggs! Half of it was gone! I looked in the sink and luckily she had taken most of the shell off. I did find some in her mouth which I had her spit out. She wasn’t even phased and wanted another. Toddlers…so much craziness and so much fun.
I hope you’re enjoying your week!
