So I like to buy things cheap. Especially at this point in my life where we’re trying to save up for a house and my kids are so young, they don’t really care anyway.
Last year I bought some cheap Easter baskets from Walmart for Alan and I. Well we decided we don’t really need the candy, so they’re going to be for Bammer and Lowie this year. But they looked so plain…
I was inspired by the girls at My Sister’s Suitcase and their embellished Easter Baskets. So I decided to decorate my girls’ too! Most of the things I used I already had, but I did find some really cute wooden, glittery Easter shapes for $1 at Target.
So I pulled out my hot glue gun, a sharpie, ribbon, tulle, a broken St. Patrick’ Day necklace, a fake flower, and the wooden shapes… and came up with these!
I love them! I think they turned out great! My husband brought up that it was too bad that the background to these pictures are cement walls. I agree. I’m hoping the flowers will start to bloom and the grass will turn green soon!
