So we didn’t send out Christmas cards this year. I had full intention to, but they’re so expensive and it just didn’t happen. I even had the girls’ pictures taken, but I was meaning to do that anyway. I still wanted to share what our Christmas Card probably would have looked like and an update on our family.
So to my family, friends, and blogging friends, here is the
Tanner Christmas Card of 2013.
The year of 2013 has been a year full of blessings and changes.
Alan is working so very hard at two jobs – his full time job and then part time as a seminary teacher hoping to make that a full time career. We will find out in April if he gets offered a job in seminary. Alexis’ parents generously let us move in with them in April so we could save some money. The girls have loved seeing grandma and grandpa every day, playing in the yard and at the park down the street, and playing with our parents’s dog.
We found out in July that we are expecting another little joy to our family! Baby BOY Tanner is due in March. We are so excited to add a little boy to our two girls.
Alexis loves being a stay at home mom with the girls, crafts, reads, cooks, and blogs. She loves taking the girls to new places and exploring our town.
We have decided to move closer to Alan’s work so he doesn’t have to do the hour commute in the snow at the beginning of January. We’re excited for another adventure in this phase of life!
Kami is a spunky almost 3 year old and has a memory like an elephant – she never forgets. She loves to sing songs and picks up on them quickly. She is learning to count and sing the alphabet song. She loves helping Alexis in the kitchen and playing with play dough. She is excited for a baby brother to join the family.
Chloe is a sweet and very happy 18 month old. She also loves to sing and will sing along to any song although she can’t quite sing the words. She is learning words rapidly! Even words we don’t teach her. She picks up quickly on the things she hears and the things she sees. Chloe loves to give hugs and kisses. She also loves to help mom in the kitchen.
Both our girls love the outdoors in sunshine or snow, taking baths, and helping mom clean. They love TV shows and playing games on our phones. They also love going on adventures and errands with mom.
We are excited for 2014! Lots of new things – a new baby, a new apartment in a new city, and we’ll have a better idea of Alan’s career path. Good thing we love changes! 🙂
We hope you have a wonderful Christmas season and a happy and hopeful 2014!
